Fall break DesignBuildUTAH@BLuff class
During the fall semester, seven undergraduate students came to Bluff to participate in a one-week program. They camped in tents on campus during their stay. The first day was orientation, after which they immediately started making rammed earth wall samples for the project.

For the rest of the week, they joined the graduate students in the Bluff program for site work. As this was the structural phase, the work involved walls and roofing. It was a time when the site changed dramatically every day thanks to everyone’s collaboration.

They also participated in maintenance work on the “Scourup House,” our community house that is over 100 years old. Also have dinner time together.
This program particularly emphasizes a style of “learning together while teaching.” We grow more as more people get involved in the project and have opportunities to share their work and ideas. We hope this circle continues to grow, even if just a little.
